Description
The entry-level bottling from the biodynamic winemaker Sébastien Riffault. He leaves his grapes on the vine longer than many of his neighbors and the extra ripeness shows in the different expressions of the fruit. Much more melony and red pear notes than the usually citrusy flavors of Sauvignon Blanc. The vines are 30 years old, wine is fermented with native yeasts, no filtering and aging is done in steel tanks. This is his only cuvee to receive any sulfites added, even this addition is superbly tiny at 10mg/L.
