Description
Like a blush wine, ANXO’s Rosé is zippy with prominent red fruit notes. The color and flavor come from RedWave, a red-fleshed apple that is red on the inside and naturally produces red juice (and cider)! A testament to the apple, our Rosé contains no coloring agents or other fruits.

The Story:
As an #ApplesOnly producer, ANXO is dedicated to making cider using only pomme fruits. While it’s true we would ferment pears, quince, and other pomme fruits, we are decidedly apple-centric.
When we first began expanding our range of offerings Rosé everything was becoming a national fad. At the same time we’d become familiar with red-fleshed apples and the awe-inspiring ciders they can make. We set out to make the first all-apple Rosé cider in a can and now we couldn’t live without it!
For full transparency, RedWave apples are grown by an international breeding program that develops red-fleshed apple cultivars for the grocery store shelves. As researchers work to improve appearance, color-retention, crispness, storability, and all the other things the modern apple consumer is looking for, we get to make cider with the trials!
Each year the RedWave harvest consists of a different mix of experimental cultivars. We’ve learned that some blocks produce better color than others but that even low-color RedWave juice imparts big red-fruit flavors. Each year we work to protect the mystical red color or RedWave, but ultimately color retention will vary greatly from batch to batch.
RedWave juice is fermented by our friends at The Source in Wenatchee, WA, where the RedWave is grown. The finished cider is then blended with our signature GoldRush cider to make a dry apple-only Rosé unlike any other. Not just a fad, Rosé is a featured cider in our year-round line-up!
